1960s Paper Dolls

1960s paper dolls are most definitely my favorite. I think it is most likely because I grew up in the sixties, so these were the paper dolls of my childhood. I especially remember Colorforms and how I could play with those for hours on end. I still remember the special smell and feel that they had.

Here are some1960s Paper Dolls:

Paper dolls were still extremely popular in the sixties and little girls enjoyed playing with them for hours on end. Many of the paper dolls from the sixties are still available through eBay auctions and similar sites and there is quite a bit of collecting going on for this era today. Career dolls and hobbies such as dancing, ballet, etc. were quite popular. Barbie first came on the scene in this decade and many paper dolls were created in her and her friends (Ken, Skipper, Midge, etc.) images. Television was becoming wildly popular with the children and many paper dolls were also made to coincide with those such as Family Affair, That Girl, The Flinstones, Patty Duke, Lucy, Petticoat Junction, Dinah Shore, the Munsters, Dennis the Menace, The Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres, Mouseketeers and others. Betsy McCall was particularly popular and so many other children, tots and baby dolls. Disney was putting out more and more movies, and you guessed it, paper dolls!

Many of the same publishers as the 1950s were still publishing paper dolls in the 1960s. Lowe and Whitman were still popular paper doll publishers, as well as Saalfield, Milton Bradley, Parker Brothers, Platt and Munk Company, Inc., Stephens Publishing Company and many, many others.

We will be sharing as many of these paper dolls as we possibly can on this site as well. Remember, we are adding to this site all the time, so please check back often!

Also, if you have any paper dolls from the 1960s, please submit them and we will share them with our readers!
