Cowboys and Cowgirls Paper Dolls

Cowboys and Cowgirls Paper Dolls - The Dolls

The Cowboys and Cowgirls Paper Dolls are from 1951.  Here is the front cover.  The boy paper doll here is named Tom.  He is sporting brown cowboy pants, blue cowboy boots with lots of decorative painting on them.  His shirt is yellow with blue stripes and a blue collar and cuff area.  He has a brown kerchief around his neck and is holding his brown cowboy hat out as if to say Howdy.  It looks as if he is standing in the desert with the cacti and rocks.

Here is the back cover.  On this page we have the cowgirl paper doll.  Her name is Sue.  She is wearing a brown cowgirl skirt and a brown vest over her red and white checked shirt.  She has adorable brown cowboy boots.  Her horse is grazing in the background.

The clothes:

This first page of clothes if for Tom.  On this one he has a dressier outfit of black cowboy pants with a yellow decoration down the leg.  He has black boots under the pants.  He has a gun holster with leather fringe.  He also has a pink long sleeved shirt underneath a black vest that matches the black pants.  He has a tan cowboy hat with black trim.  He has a full pair of cowboy boots with black at the feet, and then typical western paintings further up.  Also included on this page is a yellow fest with three buttons and two pockets.  There is a little bit of green at the shoulders.

This page of clothing is for Sue, our little cowgirl.  On this page she is given an orange (maybe once red) cowgirl skirt with blue fringe and a diamond pattern trim (very western).  At her waist are a couple of tassels of fringe as well.  She has a long sleeved blue blouse and over that is a vest that matches the skirt just described.  She has leather gloves with fringe on them as well.  She has a pair of green cowgirl boots.  She has a pair of blue jeans with a pair of leather chaps over them.  To go with that pair of jeans is a long sleeved yellow western shirt.  There is a polka dotted scarf at the neck and a fur best over it.
