Polly and Molly Paper Dolls

The Polly and Molly Paper Dolls are from Saalfield from the year 1943.  They are subtitled In Fancy Dress.  This is the cover and it shows Molly.  I love the "An Indestructible Doll" slogan!

Here is the back cover, which is obviously Polly.

Clothes for Polly and Molly Paper Dolls:

This first page of clothes has a Martha Washington outfit, a Merry Go Round outfit (that's different!) and a drum majorette (they call it a drum major) outfit, as well as headpieces to match each outfit.

This page of clothing has an Aladdin outfit, a Mistress Mary outfit and a knitting bag.

This page of clothes has a Mother Goose outfit, a Pierrette outfit, and a Little Boy Blue outfit (one of the nursery rhyme pages).

On this page we have a little Red Riding Hood outfit, a Blue Bird outfit, and a pirate outfit.

This page includes a Royal Page, Little Bo-Peep (and her toy sheep) and an Ace of Clubs outfit.

This page of costumes includes a Christmas tree outfit, decorated with strung beads, ornaments and all!  The hat even has the star on top.  Then there is the Queen of Hearts.  Her long dress includes a yellow top portion and a red and white bottom portion with is all hearts.  She is also holding a plate of heart shaped cookies and is holding a heart shaped purse.  She also has a heart shaped necklace.  And finally on this page is a (blue) Fairy of the Night.  She has a brown tie and there are yellow highlights on the wings and hanging from the brown tie.

This page has a Hawaiian outfit, a valentine outfit and a Dutch tulip girl outfit.

This page includes an Egyptian outfit, which consists of a green skirt with gold sandals.  The top of it has red, blue and white stripes.  There is a gold belt as well as necklace and arm band and bracelet pieces.  There is a green headpiece that matches and also goes with the outfit.  Then there is  a Mexican outfit which has a black shirt and red skirt underneath.  But the gorgeous part of the outfit is the wrap around shawl that is just beautiful with a flower print and long, gold fringe at the bottom.  There is also a pretty pink rose at the shoulder to sort of pull it all together.  And finally there is an alarm clock outfit with the time at just a few minutes before 6:00.
