Ranch Family Paper Dolls

The Ranch Family Paper Dolls is a set of cowboy and cowgirl dolls from Merrill Publishing circa 1957.  Above is the front cover showing it's number with the publishing company of 2584.  It was originally 29 cents when it was first published.

Here is the back cover of this paper doll book.

The above page is the inside cover of this vintage paper doll book.

Now for the paper dolls themselves.  Here we have Father and daughter Lisa.

On this page of dolls we have the mother and daughter Sis.

Here is son Bud and daughter Holly.  So this family basically consists of Father, Mother, 3 daughters (Holly, Lisa and Sis) and brother Bud.

Ranch Family Paper Dolls Clothes:

Here is the first page of clothes for our precious Ranch family.  If you look closely at the little tags you will see letters which tell you which paper dolls each outfit is for.  For example, the F on the largest outfit and hat here tells you that this outfit is for Father.  The H on the skirt cowgirl outfit, boots and hat tells you that this outfit is for Holly.  The L on the Chaps, blue top and vest tells you that this outfit, as well as the hat, are for Lisa.

This page of clothing has outfits for Bud, Sis and Mother.

This page of clothing includes a blue skirt with a brown leather jacket for Sis, with coordinating boots and hat.  For Mother we have a pair of blue paints with three-leaf cloves on them.  A red blouse and cowboy boots.  She is holding a rope in her hand.  She also has a hat to match.  For Lisa we have a green fringed skirt and a coordinating pretty blouse.  She has cute cowgirl boots and a green hat.

This page of clothing includes a blue dress (with gloves and a basket) for Sis.  It looks like she plays the violin!  For Mother we have a green skirt with a red top as well as a red cape and hood.  For Father there is a suit jacket with a yellow shirt underneath that includes a skinny green tie.

It is interesting that the family's pets would include deer and bear.  :-)  And also the expected dogs, a colt and a calf.
