A Day With Diane paper doll is from Saalfield Publishing from 1957.  Here is our paper doll named Diane coming out her front door.

A Day With Diane Paper Doll Clothes:

This first page of clothes includes some costumes for Diane and her friends.  You will see her friends on the back cover, coming later.  There is a southern belle costume for Carole.  There is a ballerina outfit for Diane and there is a Native American dress for Peggy.

This page of clothes are dresses for a birthday party.  Back in the 1950s, all little girls wore dresses to birthday parties.  There is a black dress with a white blouse that has little black polka dots on it for Peggy.  She has a cute pink and black polka dotted party hat as well.  For Carol there is a green party dress.  It has a black belt at the waist and a black bow tie at the neck.  I love the cut of the bodice on this dress.  She has a sort of Robin Hood looking party hat that matches her dress.  And finally there is Diane's birthday party dress, which is a nice blue color with a white collar and cuffs at the arms with red trim.

Also in the 1950s all little girls dressed up for Sunday school and church.  These three outfits are for Sunday church.  For Diane we have a yellow jacket with white gloves and a brown purse.  She has a matching yellow hat with brown trim.  Carol has a blue jacket with white gloves and white collar and trim.  She has a red purse and a blue hat with a red pom pom on top.  Peggy has a brown and white checkered sort of jacket that has a small cape at the top and a small white collar trimmed in brown.  She has white gloves as well, and a brown matching hat.  She carries a green pull closed purse.  All the girls had their purses to bring their offerings in.

Three pretty dresses just for school!  Peggy has a green skirt with a white blouse and a yellow sweater.  Carol has a blue dress with a blue hat.  And Diane has my favorite - the cutest red school dress!  She also has a blue hat with a splash of red and a brown book bag.

The back cover has two friends for Diane and their names are Peggy and Carol.
