Christmas Paper Dolls
There are several sets of adorable Christmas paper dolls. We will share as many as we can find with you.
Christmas Paper Dolls #1:
Here is one that was meant as a Christmas gift to a sweet granddaughter on Christmas.
This is from the 1950s and it read like a storybook, with each page having an outfit for the doll on the front cover. The pages here say:
Dress dolly in this nice, red coat
That looks so bright and gay
Then both of you be sure to have
A Merry Christmas Day.
Now here is dolly's Christmas Dress
It's as pretty as can be
Just right to wear while playing
Beneath the Christmas tree.
If dolly wants to go outside
And scamper in the snow
She'll have to wear her snowsuit
And this nice warm cap, you know!
And this is dolly's party dress
It's pretty and so jolly
All red and white, so gay and bright
And trimmed with Christmas holly!
And the back cover says:
And now it's time for dolly
to go to bed and sleep
She says, "Good night! I love you!
I'm all your own to keep!"
Some Santa Paper Dolls:
A great page of Santa Claus paper dolls from The Golden Magazine December 1966, I believe. On this page he is dressed in his red long underwear. He has a few different outfits. They include his work outfit (i.e., Santa Suit!), a nightshirt and cap, and another work outfit for when he is working in the toy shop with the elves. In this outfit he is holding a hammer and has on a work apron.
And Mrs. Santa Claus from the same Golden Magazine. Her outfits include a long, red cape with a hood and white fur trim, a green and white striped dress with a green shawl, a nightgown with her holding a candle, and a red dress with an apron with holly decorations on it. In this outfit she is holding a tray of gingerbread cookies.
A vintage Santa paper doll. He is dressed in his red long underwear. There is a Santa suit, of course, complete with black boots, belt and cap. There is also a nightdress with him holding a candle and a book, and a matching cap. There is also a black coat with him holding a wreath. And finally a suit with him holding a cane.
