Army and Navy Wedding Paper Dolls

The Army and Navy Wedding Paper Dolls are a set of cut-out dolls from 1943.  They are Saalfield #2446.  The theme is very patriotic and romantic!

Here we have a page full of lovely paper dolls.  They are definitely very 1940-ish.  These dolls include the Bride's mother, the Bride's father and three of the bridesmaids.

This page of paper dolls has our bride and groom, as well as the best man, maid of honor and another bridesmaid.  They numbered the bridesmaids 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Army and Navy Wedding Paper Dolls Clothes:

All of the clothes on this page are for the bridesmaids, as the red, white and blue banner at the bottom tells you.  There are 10 outfits on this page, plus hats and shoes and accessories galore.

The clothing on tihs page are for the mother of teh bride and the maid of honor.    There are some skirt and jacket suit sets (lavender and lime green), a checked dress in cream and blue, a black evening dress, a casual blue skirt and top (with very patriotic handbag).  There is also a yellow dressy dress, a yellow sweater, an orange or red evening gown, a red coat, and a blue dress.  Plus, again, hats and shoes!  These people know how to dress.

This page has the father's outfit - he's an Admiral!  It also has the mother of the bride dress (gorgeous lavender gown), the Bishop's vestments, the best man's (Captain) and the groom's, as well as one of the bridesmaids outfits.  This page says Naval Attache.

This page has some American Red Cross aides and outdoor workers.  There are some WAAC auxiliary and officer outfits, as well as O.C.D. nurse's aid and canteen worker.

The bride's trousseau.  Gorgeous!  There is a green and yellow gown, a yellow and orange plaid suit dress with a matching overcoat  an orange day dress, a long yellow skirt with black top and jacket (very dressy), a blue dress, a blue top and a blue jacket with a belt.  There is also a purple dress and several hats, shoes and accessories.

This is the Army page for the father (a General!), the ushers, best man, groom, bride and maid of honor.  I love this wedding gown.  It is very old fashioned and elegant.  Very understated, but oh so beautiful.
