These lovely Hair-Do paper dolls are from Lowe publishing from the late 1950s or early 1960s. There is an earlier set of these from 1948 that I will post as well very soon. I just love this cover though, don't you? Dreamy!
Here are our two teenage dolls and their 5 different hair-dos.
And we must have many outfits for our dolls. On this page we have a blue blouse with an elastic waist and white trim at the collar and short sleeves. There is also a blue sun suit with red trim. There is a pair of blue capri style pants with red checked cuffed bottoms and yellow patches at the knees with red sewing thread around the outside of the diamond shaped patches. It comes with a matching red checked sleeveless blouse. There is another set of brown cuffed capri style pants with a green and white checked shirt. There is an interesting zig zag pattern at the bottom of this shirt and at the bottom of the sleeves. Then there is a pretty pink and blue flowered dress. Puffy and pretty - perfect for square dancing perhaps.
This page has what looks to me like another square dancing dress. This one is red with white large polka dots and a black bustle. There is also a yellow skating (?) outfit and a matching cropped top for over that. There is also a nice set of black slacks and a white sweater.
This is the back cover of the book. It includes a pair of green and red checked pants with a green sweater. Also on this page is a matching coat or jacket to this outfit with black gloves. There is also a red coat with double rows of white buttons and she is holding a white glove in another white gloved hand. And finally there is a grey pleated skirt with a pink blouse and pink knee socks.
