Paper Doll Models

The Paper Doll Models set is from 1942 and is Saalfield #1976.

Here is the front cover.  The two dolls are named Pam and Pat.  The subtitle says "With Up-to-Date Dresses, Hats and Accessories."  Fun!

This is the back cover with two more dolls, Ann and Sue.  All ready for their outfits that follow on the following pages.

This page of clothing is for Ann.  There is a red button up dress, a green gown with a blue sash around the waist.  There is also a brown skirt with a gold blouse and jacket that includes black gloves and a blue clutch purse.  There are two hats on this page, as well as a bow, a necklace and a corsage of flowers.

This page of clothing is for Pam.  For Pam we have a blue casual dress that has a white strip down the front and some pink flowers.  There is a blue tie at the waste.  It kind of reminds me of something Lucy Ricardo would wear in I Love Lucy.  (My, didn't she have some gorgeous clothes?)  Then there is a pink gown with blue trim at the neckline and delicate, little blue flowers on the print.  And then she has a goldish-brown business type suit with a blue clutch purse as well.  There are also two hats on Pam's page and a very large blue bow, as well as a small flower corsage or bouquet.

This page is for the Sue paper doll.  She has a red dress with a white collar and trim at the sleeves, along with a blue belt at the waist and what looks like a little blue polka dotted hankie.  For her gown she has a long blue gown with white delicate flowers and a pink bow at the waist.  She also has an orange button down dress and a detachable collar that could go with either the orange dress or the long blue gown.  There is also a blue bow and what look like blue beads of some sort (bracelet?  necklace?).  There are also two hats!

This last page of the Paper Doll Models is for Pat.  She has a yellow dress with brown highlights and a white blouse underneath.  It looks like quite a slit for a 1940s set, so I am thinking that is a brown skirt underneath.  Pat's gown is green with blue, red, green and yellow stripes both at the bottom  and top.  It kind of has a fiesta feel to me. She also has a pink skirt and blouse set with a nice black belt in the middle of it.  Included on this page is a detachable collar that I think is meant for the pink outfit.  There is also a hankie and a present.
