Seven and Seventeen Paper Dolls

The Seven and Seventeen paper dolls are from the 1940s and are from Merrill Co.  They are sub-titled big and Little Sister.  On this cover page we have Linda and Lena, two sisters.

This back cover has two more sisters, Candy and Cathie.  It looks like they have some sister dogs as well.  :-)

These two dolls are another set of sisters named Sally and Sue.

Here are Katie and Kerry.

And one last set of sisters named Jane and Jill.

Seven and Seventeen Paper Dolls Clothes:

Now to the clothes!  It looks like they organized the pages of clothes to match up with a sister set, so that makes it nice and convenient.  This page of clothing is for Cathie and Candy.  These sisters have  a blue and white striped dress with capped sleeves and a crisscross at the waist.  They also have a green, blue and yellow plaid skirt with a red sweater and a yellow outer sweater.  They also have a gray skirt with a green jacket and a red plaid vest underneath it.  And for more casual wear they have some red and white checked skirts and summer tops.

This page of clothing is for Linda and Lana.  Their outfits include a summer dress with a tropical fish print.  A blue skirt with a matching short sleeved jacket.  There is a white blouse underneath with a bit red bow with white polka dots on it.  There are also some gold colored car coats and a matching hat for Linda.  There is also a red jumper dress with a green blouse underneath for Linda.

This page of clothing is for Lana and Linda.  They must be party girls getting ready for a party.  We have beautiful blue party dresses for each of them.  Linda's is a shorter version of Lana's long and elegant version.  Both have matching hats and pink bow tied belts.  Lana has a pair of long blue gloves that are gorgeous.  They also both have white dress coats.  Beautiful.  They seem to have a hood or a scarf covering.  There is an additional red dress for Lana.  Still a party dress, but much less formal than the long gown.

This page has some pretty pink party dresses with blue cropped jackets to go over them.  There are also some flowered headbands for the girls to wear.
