Western Paper Dolls

These Western Paper Dolls are from Saalfield, American Craft numbered 711 and are from 1959.  They originally sold for 29 cents.  This front cover has one of the dolls and a horse's saddle and blanket in the background.

Western Paper Dolls Clothes:

This page of outfits has four pieces of clothing.  There is a white dress with a sort of southwestern flare about it.  There is a pair of blue pants (blue jeans?  I am not sure) with cowboy boots.  There is a purple cropped top that could go with the pants, or for a dressier mood a green long sleeved shirt with a necklace and pearl belt.

This page of clothes has a red cowgirl skirt and a leather belt.  There is blue polka dotted shirt with a cowgirl vest over it and a kerchief around the neck.  There is another southwestern style dress with a yellow and blue skirt and a red/purple blouse and a shortie (pajama?) outfit.

This page includes a green square dance style dress.  There is also a pair of orange pants and blouse (a very western looking outfit), a cowboy hat and a red riding jacket with black arrows.

This page speaks country and western the most.  It includes a blue skirt with matching vest that has gold trim.  A red blouse underneath the vest really sets off the outfit.  She is holding a rope in her cowgirl gloved hands.  Don't you love those gloves?  The fringe! There is also a fringed cowgirl top.  At the bottom is a branding iron (a girl's work is never done).  And last but not least is a beautiful red fringed skirt with matching vest - both with stars and moons on them.  This outfit is completed by a red checked shirt.

This page includes a party dress!  I guess even cowgirls need to wash off the mud and dress up every now and again.  The sparkly blue dress comes with a matching clutch purse.  There is also another cowboy hat on this page, as well as a red blouse with yellow collar and a blue kerchief.  There is also a separate red kerchief and a poncho on this page.

Here is the back cover of this paper dolls set which includes another paper doll with the ranch house and some beautiful mountains in the background.
